Summerleaze Mountains AG was formed in February 2008 as the vehicle for Summerleaze's activities in the Swiss leisure sector.

Following an article in The Times in April 2007, Summerleaze agreed in Autumn 2007 to take over the ski-resort of Ernergalen. Located in the upper Rhône valley in the canton of Valais, surrounded by great glaciers and 4000-metre peaks, Ernergalen offers snow-sure conditions in the winter and stunning views all year round.

The plans are still being formulated, but if they come to fruition, they will represent a multi-million pound investment to replace and extend the lifts-system, improve the on-mountain facilities, and build a range of properties, mostly hotels and mostly in the valley around the beautiful and historic villages of Ernen and Mühlebach.

Based on the very gentle nature of the mountain above the existing ski area, our aim is to become one of the best resorts in Europe for families, children, beginners and those looking for easy skiing within a broader Alpine experience.

Like the plans, the timetable is not yet fixed, but in the broadest terms, we will be seeking the necessary rights, permissions and contracts over the next 8 months, and if successful will then review whether it is possible to construct the first phase of the project by December 2009, or whether it will be more prudent to aim for December 2010. We will be applying for permission to run the existing lifts during the intervening period, and if allowed, will make the funding available to enable them to run over that period, as we have for this winter (2007/8).
